brake light short - won't turn off

Default brake light short - won't turn off

what would be a good place to look at for one? its not the grommet its not the switch the fuse hasnt blown yet. but they still stay on.

You don't have a short.

What makes you think the switch and rubber stopper are fine? Give details.

Have you adjusted the switch position?

well i bought a brand new switch and thr stopper is still there. what do ylu mean position of it?

Unplug the switch. Do the brake lights turn off?

Does your car have cruise control?

yes they do and if i take out the fuse, also it does but its not hooked up or it might be taken out from the previous owner cause it doesnt work.

well ive put a new switch onit and the stopper has it fully suppressed. well at least it looks like it is. i might need to adjust it so ill try doing tgat tomorrow i guess but it doesnt look like it needs to be.

When you plug the switch into the connector and press the switch button all the way in with your finger, do the brake lights turn off?
