Default Fitting on low side a/c port on 1991 CRX

As hardly anyone has the hoses for R12, I purchased a fill hose and can fittings off the internet. I can't get the fill hose I bought to screw on the low side port. Are Hondas different than older american cars that take R12? Thanks for a reply

Should be the same as your tires. A plain old Schrader valve.

Just go to autozone and but the $7 fittings to make it take 134a. I just did it last week on my 93.

Don't do that unless your gonna fill it w/ R134a.

But the guy said he was filling it with R12. Well I guess he only "implied" he was.

You must have bought the wrong hose, or as someone stated earlier, it has the R134 adapter screwed over the original R12 fitting.
