Default what hose size for -10an fittings?

Okay, sorry for the dumb question.

What size steel braided hose do I get for -10an female fittings?

When buying hose are they listed by measurement of inner or outter diameter?

TIA

the steel braided hose is sold as -10AN just like the fittings. However, I have used regular 1/2 hose with -10an fittings for breathers etc..

The whole AN system is based on 16th.

-6 is 6/16th or 3/8th.

-10 is 10/16th or 5/8th
