Brake fluid question
Im gonna be putting extended wheel studs on my car. I figured I will go ahead and upgrade my master cylinder to 1in and put new brake fluid.
So my question is how many quarts do i need to refill the whole system?

Not sure though, I would have to look in the service manual to see if they specify total brake system fluid capacity.
and just a heads up....
once you open that brake fluid .... toss the left over. Brake fluid isn't stored well, and using old can harm your brake system.
Saw a guy at a dealership I used to frequent ruin his braking system because he used 6 month old fluid (or so he claimed) He wasn't happy about the price to fix though.

i wouldn't toss the left over though, it doesn't go bad instantly, but once it's open, it starts absorbing moisture from the air.. and water in your brake system can heat up and cause air bubbles.. anyway, save it for a bit cuz ya never know, but i wouldn't keep it more than a couple weeks. metal containers work best, if and only if its the original container..
also don't mix any brake fluids (DOT 3, 4, 5.1, 5).. im sure ya already know all this though, just figured i'd drop my 2 cents
good luck

You don't have to toss it just use it for other things.. Works really well for clearing yellowed headlights. Not as good as the kits you can get but will clear and remove most the yellow from headlights, not super clear but will allow more light through.
