K fellas i need some help, my buddy is gonna sell me his turbo kit with a p28 chipped on chrome to run 10psi on a b16. Question is, is his is built Arais pistons, darton sleeves, skunk 2 valves, springs, retainers and cam gears, compression 8.1. Would that tune be ok on my stock b16 with my AEBS performance intake mani compression 10.2.1. Or will I need to re tune it?

Don't question it. You need a retune! Even if it was tuned on a motor with the same specs as yours it would need to be retuned, every engine is different

i have an apexi fc running my 98 b18c turbo hatch, will the apexi fc run a turbo setup im buliding on an h22 96 civic hatch?

 

Yeah you need to retune. The maps on the tuned ECU for your friends low compression built block will be totally different that what your stock B16 with a higher compression will need to run safely.
Wow people are still running Apexi AF controllers to tune their cars, old school ghetto tuning.

 

Please ask this question on the Engine management forum. Short answer yes, IF you make the correct changes in tuning.
