Default TPS adjustment need help ASAP!!!!

Just put a new Blox TPS on my 92 gsr and from what I've read you're supposed to adjust till you read .5 volts at 0% throttle. i can only get it to read from .01-.02 and 2 or 3 at full throttle. I don't know what I'm doing wrong to get these results. I have my multimeter set at 20v dc. I tapped into the connector with a paper clip. Any help would be much appreciated i need to get this thing back on the road!

You might find this: http://www.clubintegra.com/board/showthread.php?t=21792 useful just to check the process your doing.

I generally forgo the paper clip and stick the multimeter pin where people normally put the paper clip. Would never do that one someone elses car though, just my own.

Yea thanks, that thread has been my resource prior to doing this repair.
I didn't have the sensor installed in the throttle body correctly. the piece in the tps with the spring was not mated to the moving piece in the throttle body, so when i moved it, nothing happened. all good now. highest it would read was 4.79V reads .5V at idle. should be ok?
