Default throttle position sensor

hi got a bigger throttle body for my b18 and need to know how to set my throttle position sensor. i've been told i need to use a fluke to get the correct readings at full/half/no throttle. can anyone point me in the right direction on how to do it properly. thanks in advance

set the TPS to 0.5Volts on the signal wire @ closed throttle with the key on and the engine off. Thats all you need to worry about. Make sure the TPS is adjusted after the final throttle stop screw adjustments are made on the new throttle body.

Can you expand upon that please?if you adjust the TPS after its been set to .5 closed, wont adjusting it after that change the readings? Thx

0.50 100% closed and 4.5 100% open (If memory serves correctly).

.45 or .5?

Mine is set .45V and TPS in Freelog Reads -2%

Helms says .5 so go with .50 :-)

where can i purchase a throtel position sensor for a Honda Civic Lx... nobody seems to carry it.. if any one knows a site or even a store around Los Angeles

There are approx 170 of them for sale on ebay. Or you could go to your local junk yard as mentioned. It doesn't have to be one from an LX Civic. Any Honda & Acura throttle body that uses a 3 wire TPS are the same .5v - 4.5 (5v) sensor. (potentiometer)
