I have a Skunk2 Megapower with 70mm/2.75" tubing from the cat all the way to the can. The problem I have is, the B-pipe flange will not match up with the prewelded bolts on the cat flange. The flange on the Megapower is just too big. I'm going to be buying an Invidia test pipe within the next few days anyways, I'm wondering if I should just order a 2.75" stainless flange, cut the 3 bolt flange off the test pipe, and weld the new 2.75" flange to the test pipe? Or does anyone have an easier solution for me?

 

take it to a muffler shop, they can usually rig something up, at least here in germany

As simple as this? You seem confused on what to do. If you have a welder, buy the flanges you need and do the work yourself, or if you actually want it simple...take the test pipe and piping to a exhaust shop, put it in their hands, and say...put it on.

 

I'm not confused. I'm just trying to see if anyone has done this differently. I'll just mig the new flange onto the test pipe then.

 

How else would you possibly run exhaust? Metal tape?

 

No, that's not what I'm saying. I wanted to see if getting new holes drilled in the cat flange would be easier, or if i should get a reducer welded to the 2-3/4" tubing and then put a 2-1/4" flange welded to the reducer. I was just thinking that the new flange is gonna be way too big for the cat tubing, its just going to slide over the cat tubing. I'm either going to have to tack a few welds on and then fill the excess space with a buttload of weld or just buy a reducer, and that is what answer I am looking for right now.
