Default Solutions for bigger cup holders?

One thing that I have always been annoyed by in the 5th gen Civics that I've owned is how small the cup holders are. Nowadays the only size drink that seems to fit is a small or if I'm lucky, depending where I go, a medium. Besides putting a cup into the center console (which many of us don't even have) what are some solutions you guys have found for fitting larger drinks?

I second this! I'd love to hear some ideas. I've often thought about trying to modify that little collapsible cupholder to hold something larger.

You could try to get universal cupholders, or those radio tray cupholders.
Not always the biggest, but if you find the right one to fit those large Taco Bell cups you'll be safe!

Here's a universal one in my 99 sedan

You could fill up the wiper fluid reservoir with a drink of your choice and reroute the hose into the passenger compartment! :D

Let's see who gets the reference...

^^ I don't believe I've ever seen that, where would I find one of these? I have a feeling though that it's probably not much bigger than what the car is already equipped with.

The universal cup holder - does it fit larger drinks? It does look a little bigger.

Regarding the radio tray holders
There's a tutorial for that I saw last year, lemme dig it up for you:

Just for your luck, I think this was made for 5th gen's

as for the universal cupholder, I was able to fit some fast-food fountain cups, but sadly not drinks wider than Arizona cans... The best comparison I could make is with Arizona. I drink Arizona green tea very often but can never fit the cans in that darn holder. For other drinks it's okay, since I have a 6th gen the cupholders aren't problematic, I mainly keep the universal holder there because I think it looks quite nice. the arizona tea bottles however fit with like 0.1% space

lol, regarding $1 sweet teas from Mcd's...I wedge them between my e brake and my passenger seat. You need to take a couple mouth fulls and a little muscle but it holds better then the cup holders.

Haha, yea I do the same thing. I have '04 Civic Si seats that sit a little higher and it works well, but is prone to spilling. Just a temporary solution.
