Let me see if I can do this without an, and I quote, "Overly millitaristic moderator" shutting me down :p haha no, but for real. I have a D16Y7 with a Y8 intake manifold swap in my 97 civic DX coupe. It's loads of fun in the corners with a built suspension, but it just doesnt have the "oompf" on all of the hills here. I know that It's a Honda and yada yada no torque rada rada but I want it to have a little more kick in the ***** do to speak. So here is what I'm trying to decide: Do I want to boost it with the tiny little TD04-9B turbo I have laying around, Jackson Racing SC it, or just dump the dinky little D16 I have adn get a B18C? I don't want to do a very big turbo if I go that route because I want to definitly keep my A/C (hense the tiny little TD04) but If I'm dropping the money on a custom set up required to have a big turbo I may as well swap. The Jackson Racing was my other thought but I've heard they're slightly a let down, is this true? I'm not looking for like a drag race machine, but I want enough to get moving if I want to. Huge power gains are not my intentions... reliability and more power for these hills and mountains of North Carolina is what I want. So thoughts? Go!!

I would go with a b18c1 swap. I put a gsr into my 94 civic vx and it was a very easy install. It is a blast to drive so much that if i get on the throttle from a slow roll, my tires wouldn't catch until 3rd gear. You will def find the "oompf" your looking for.
Yeah because durability is a big deal for me and turbo's and superchargers aren't exactly good for your motor haha. Is your B18C1 reliable (IE can I get on in the mountains at least once a month and not have to worry about it blowing up?) I'm not plannning on like ******* the **** out of it, but fairly constant higher RPM's in the mountains for pull.
