Default Turbo LS RPM breaking up (Video inside)

So I have a turbo integra ls and when I get around 5000 rpms the gauge needle breaks up. Tuner said its most likely the coil or igniter. Tuner also said that the car ran a little rich when it started breaking up. I've tried 2 different distributors but I've had the same problem. What could it possibly be? I either want to try a new ebay dizzy or try getting a oem coil. Any suggestions/info would be great. Thanks!

I forgot what it was exactly but the tuner did it. It's .28 i think? Making 215whp 202tq and yes it started happening since I went boost.

I'm currently rebuilding the turbo due to a leaking seal. Can that have anything to do with the rpms breaking up?

Well he said that it was either the coil or the igniter. I'm going to go that route and hopefully it fixes my problem. Why would it be the timing?

your car is too awesome, the RPM gauge freaks out and faints.

the fact that u tried 2 other distributors with perfect physical timing and still had the problem

so im thinking

plug wires or
grounds or
electronic timing

Well here's some other info. I now reverted my car back to n/a to get it inspected and the car doesn't do that anymore. Could be something acting up with high heat/power?

Only 200ish, you can get away with plugs gap of .030

What engine management ? The AEM EMS tends to break up at high RPM with OEM Dizzy BTW...

Why doesn't your tuner log, Stat sync, crank count, cam count, timing errors, injector mS..........etc and pin it down that way.......

POST YOUR SET-UP !!!

turbo seals fixed?

with break up so early with such little hp,

weak spark, coil
i know you said your tuner timed the car but i dont trust anybody but myself, i would double check timing
oil vapor getting engine but your not turbo so no leaky seals

Ya turbo was rebuilt. Spools great, no leaks. I'm thinking it's the ICM, since it sends signals to the RPM's. I'm going to test the ICM to see if it's faulty. I'm also going to try new oem spark plug wires.

oh by the way when i went in to get tuned i rolled up with a vtec dizzy and advanced all the way,

Whitfield racing in UPLAND ca told me you cant use a vtec dizzy.
