I got this car over the weekend as a daily driver Since gas prices are high
Its a 98 civic ex automatic all stock
The car runs perfect an starts up everytime
Except for mornings when im going to work it does not want to turn
On! Its summer so dont tell me because its cold its not cold
But after it starts u can turn it back off an it will start back up everytime
Also if i wait till noon when its hot outside it will start fine very weird!
Its very frustrating and its made me late to work a few times.
Any suggestions on what is wrong?

When it doesn't crank, when you turn the key to accessory does the check engine light come on for two seconds and then cut off (main relay sending power)?

 

Yes it comes on and then goes off.. No Check engine light
This problem makes me scratch my head im good at solving and fixing my own cars so when i post it up it means im clueless

main fuel relay. possible bad ecu.

 

Also could be dizzy. You have to check your spark/fuel.

 

Changed the spark plugs first n didnt fix the problem then cap and rottor and Fixed it Problem solved

 

i have a 1998 ek sedan automatic . car wont start sometimes i have to go back and try like 10 mins later it starts and its good to go.....and then it wont just cranks i smell gas...what could it be? i was told a bad coolant temp sensor.....before i have it towed to a mechanics id like an idea of what it could be thanks
