Default Reman rebuilt starters

Hello,
My third rebuilt starter is going out!

93 honda civic del sol d16z6
The first two o'reilly starters started the car 1-2 times before permanently seizing up and failing.

The third one worked great for about 1.5 months. Now it only works after holding the key in the start position. Its like it's frozen, then kicks on after a couple attempts. I don't want to pay 400 bucks for one through Honda.

Has anyone had this much trouble with these reman'ed in Mexico starters?

I'm sick of pulling it and taking it to O'reillys to get a 'new' one. Any suggestions? Thanks

Haha I actually did on Craigslist and it was really weak but worked. I'm thinking about opening it up and see if it is corroded and if I can clean it.

I might buy a spare one and try this. I know a old timer that rebuilds alternators for people. Rewires them, cleans em up, and they are good to go. He was telling me that years ago, no one would buy these kinda parts, they'd just get them rebuilt.

Nowadays, with advance/pep/autozone etc....there's no need.

Don't ever get Oreilly's, Advance Auto Parts, or even Autozone's starters. The reason why they offer Limited Lifetime Warranty is because their starters are re-manufactured from junk parts that are suppose to be new. The best thing to do is either rebuild it or buy a brand new one or get a OEM starter.
