Default 97 honda civic dx swap huge wire issue

Hey guys, I have a 1997 honda civic dx with a b16 swap in it. I got it about 8 days ago and found out that the wiring in it is absolutely rediculous...i have no speedometer and my check engine light flashes. I try to hook up a code scanner to it but it doesnt come on and i found out that it only has 5 wires hooked to it... i posted pictures and you can see what im talking about. Also the ecu is a p30 but there are wires everywhere also and idk what im doing...Obviously i am gonna get alot of negative responses because i dont know but i dont expect to fix it with just questions i am asking i only want to get an idea of what i can do or what these wires are...thanks to everyone in advance for the help.

random wires that were hanging

this is the obd that i hook the scanner into

the wiring under the dash

and this is what the ecu looks like

The P30 ECU is OBD1 and your car is OBD2. This renders the ODB2 code reader useless as it cannot read codes from an OBD1 ECU.

You can pull codes by jumping the service connector.

the random drivers side wires looks like it would have been for an alarm.

i myself would get a new engine harness as yours is a mess.
