B16a won't start up after putting the cams back in
I was going to trade my cams for another. Later did I know the decisions turned and flipped. I ended up installing my cams back in and in the process had to take the dizzy off cause the key wasn't lining up.
After reinstalling the cams and dizzy. I went to start it up and no luck. It cranks and all but seems like no spark. A buddy of mine told me I had fried the ignition coil from not disconnecting the negative from the battery. So I replaced the ignition coil as well as the rotor and cap. Still no luck. I am so stumped.
What could be the problem?
@RonJ@HT: It is a 96 ek sedan with a b16a swap.

A) make sure you have your firing order correct.
B) are you getting bright white spark at all four plugs?
C) Did you somehow install something 180?
D) Did you check your ignition and mechanical timing after all of this?

Did you set the motor to TDC prior to removing your set of cams? More than likely the TIMING is off. Set the crank pulley to TDC and work upwards to the cams/cam sprockets.
Timing should be right. because before i took off the cams, i put it to tdc, and put them back as is with the cam marking up at tdc. no spark from the spark plug wires.
my boy was telling me it could be the spark plug wires since they werent clicking on

That's mechanical timing. Check your ignition timing. There's also a DIY for how to test your distributor floating around here somewhere, you should do that as well.
so you think it could be the ignition timing? could that be the reason why im not getting sparks to the plug wires?
No, I think you aren't getting spark to any of your plugs because you fried something in your dizzy. That's why I pointed out that there are dizzy test DIY's floating around here that you should read. Check the stickies. I say you need to check your ignition timing because you said you were ripping things apart, and setting ignition timing is part of putting those things back together correctly.
Thank you everyone for posting and helping.
I finally just asked one of my boys, a honda mechanic, to come over and check it out.
Little did I know that the timing was off. Like 4-5 teeth off. He said it could have happened what I was putting the cams back in.
