Car won't lock when key is in ignition
Hello, the lock/unlocking function was working perfectly fine ever since I bought the car (that's like half a year ago) until today. I can lock and unlock from the inside of my car using the lock/unlock switch but once I put the key in ignition even if it's not in the (II) on position, the car won't lock anymore if I hit the switch. I don't hear any clicking sound neither. The unlocking part works no matter what so the only issue is the locking part.
As for my alarm: this is the alarm that I have. It's a Honda factory one. Here's an example pic except I don't have the trunk button.

So the unlock button on the alarm remote works but locking won't work.
When I hit unlock on my alarm remote, the doors unlock and lights flash, etc. But no response when I hit the lock button on the alarm remote.
Can anyone help?

Will it lock if the key is not in the ignition cylinder? It could be a feature to prevent you from locking the keys inside. Maybe part of the alarm programming which wire to the key sense.
Yes the doors will lock if I hit the lock/unlock switch on my door panel when the key is NOT in the ignition.
