Hi guys, the car is a 95 accord coupe completely stock and virgin. The symptoms are that you have to give it gas to start up and it does so real rough, it bogs horribly after you let up from the gas and it wont go past 5k rpm. It idles real low and sometimes it wants to shut off with the a/c on. Pulled the codes and got 9 (CYP) and 21 (vtec solenoid). Im on my way to Autozone to get a remanufactured dizzy, cap and (plugs and wires are only a month old) to see if that takes care of code 9 and hopefully code 21 if not ill go from there. Any suggestions or opinions are greatly appreciated.

 

UPDATE: put in a remanufactured cardone distributor and duralast cap and rotor and still has same symptoms and code put in the old distributor with new cap and rotor and nothing. Going to az to return the remanufactured dizzy so if anyone can chime in ill be grateful.

 

reset all codes. see which one pops up first

 

Reset the codes and as soon as i switched the ignition code 21 popped up immediately and then when i turned it on code 9 came back on.

UPDATE: cleaned and tested the oil pressure sensor and its good also cleaned and tested the vtec solenoid and its also good. Did this with a friend and he said my ecu is bad and also that my a/c compressor is binding. Getting really frustrated oh well
