My friend is experiencing a loud click on uphill at about 3-4k rpms
anyone else have this issue

He doesn't care. He's trying to up his post count so it doesn't say Trial Member any more.

 

check oil level. going uphill oil falls to back of pan away from pickup. when oil level is low oil pressure drops and the oil pressure activated timing chain tensioner loses tension, causing chain slap and chain slack throwing it off time
