Hello,
Car: 1996 civic EX 4 door sedan manual
Alarm system: Crimestopper SP101
Accesories: Powered by small 12v battery (not car battery), secondary piezo alarm, also have an aftermarket headunit if that matters.
My Problem:
As soon as I arm the alarm, it starts going off like a trigger was tripped. I can stop it by pressing the lock or unlock button. Also, if I don't arm the car at all the alarm will go off about 30 minutes from when I turn the ignition off.
Details:
Door trigger wire is hooked up to large light green/red wire in the drivers running board with diode.
Lock and unlock wire is hooked up to green/white and green/orange wires in the factory radio harness.
Power to alternative battery. battery is grounded so is the system.
Parking lights tapped into red/black wire near rear seats.
Ignition/starter kill hooked up to white/black and black/yellow wires under dash with relay.
If there is any other information you need post please. Thanks

Check the alarms ground, make sure it is a good one.
Unless the alarm is programed to passive arming, it should not arm/go off if you have not armed it. 94

Thanks FCM for the suggestion. I checked the ground for the alarm brain and for the battery that I'm using. Took my dremel to the contact points so they have fresh metal for the grounds (the contacts are grounded to the body). The alarm still has the same problem.
Any other suggestions? Could a faulty relay within the car's electrical system cause this Or perhaps I need to find another trigger wire?

Does the the alarm have a "triggered sensor playback" [LED or park light flash] when disarming to let you know what has triggered the alarm? 94

Your post says it all. Crimestopper. Those brains allways fail like that. I used to carry them for cheap installs. But the return rate was killing my labor. Follow fcm advice and if that does not work. Look for a new alarm.
I know what you mean. Nothing is as good as it used to be any more. Asus and Tyan used to make the absolute best server motherboards, now days you really have to test every thing again right before putting every thing together. Even then you get defective little problems like the freaking fan sensor does not work. It seems the electronic components they put in there are low quality and also the QA and QC is horrible, it seems like they skip these departments.

So it turned out to be the control module. I returned it and received a new one that actually works. Guess I will just run with this one until it gives out, then buy a better one. Thanks for advise guys
