trans has no gears
ok so i have a 92 civic that i just swap a b18b in to and also i made the car a 5 speed. so today i was going to take it out for its frist drive and when i went to put it in to gear nothing happens (no nosie, tires wont move, no gears work)i i disconnected the shift linkage and put the gear in by hand and still nothing. any ideas what can be wrong??? bad trans or am i missing somthing, also i have tried to search for info but cant find any with this problem
Was the transmission in working order before you installed it? It sounds like either the shift selector is broken, or the input shaft isn't seated in the motor correctly.
Or you forgot to install the clutch and/or flywheel, but that's a bit more than...silly.

Take the transmission apart.
Before you do that, I would take the transmission off the car, try to put it in gear, and see if you can get the output splines to move when you rotate the input splines. It's also possible something's just stripped.
