Default Removing Power Steering

I have a 1993 Civic Hatch and want to remove my power steering pump in a effort to make some room in the engine bay and shed some weight. can i remove the pump without hetting rid of my power rack and buying a manual one??? I dont just wanna take the belt off, i actually wanna get rid of the pump unit??? Is this possible???
