***H22 in 92 ACCORD..HELP NEEDED***
Going to put a h22 in a 92 accord...the accord is auto and i'm going to be changing over to manual tranny....want to know if anyone has done this before and can give me some do's and dont's and a idea of how hard it's going to be etc..
I haven't done the auto switch, my car was already a stick, but my h22a was a auto. All I have to say with the swap, is keep everything stock. Until you get a good feel for the car, and know what products are the best.
~I'm having MANY troubles...
So, good luck tho.

The swap is not to bad...
Considering the work that must be done. The tranny mount will have to be change, it will not fit otherwise, must be modified!
Next axels are tough, my drivers side axel is part Accord, and patr Prelude, it can be done.
Go to an autowreakers and get the following:
1)Clutch Pedal, Clutch Master Cylinder, Clutch Resivoir.
2)Brake Pedal
3)Shifter, boot, and cables from your Accord, Prelude may fit, but I know mine worked!
4)Accord Half Shaft
Anymore please email me at joesneddon@hotmail.com
Also, must use Accord fuel rail, EGR, and a couple other not remebering right now.
And last wires for VTEC, I think it was 4 wires...?
Good luck! You are going to Love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

sounds like you are doing the swap yourself??
its a fairly easy swap, drops right in...
the manual conversion might be tough tho, just find a manual accord of the same year, and most should bolt right up....

A buddy and I changed the engine, and I took my car down to another trusted friend to do the rest.
Its a perfect bolt-in except the passenger side mount (Tranny Mount)
You will have to pretty much build a new one, unless you have a lot of patients and you dont mind grinding alot...
Here is a goal for you, I was off with the new mount by 1/4 "
Put a level on top of the engine (facing front to back, and side to side), untill it is
perfect.
See if you can beat me!!!! 1/4" off.
Good Luck, and again, its all worth it in the end.
