Just used Torco RTF in place of Honda MTF-3, was suggested by many people.

Yes. Unless we're talking newer Hondas, that is what your owners manual recommends. I'm guessing from your next post that its an EF?

There is a plug on the passenger side, above the drain plug and toward the rear slightly.

no, you're essentially filling the vss with oil. remove the cable, then the vss (which is potentially a bad idea since it's likely siezed to the trans case), then fill.

this is how it's supposed to go.

but be aware, if the car is not level (ie, jacked up from the front) the trans will not hold anywhere near what it's capacity should be. otherwise, just fill till it starts to run back out the hole.

10w-30 is approved by honda as a "temporary fill"

10w30 as cheap as you can get it or synthetic if you wanna blow some bills.

A customer of mine claims 6+ seasons on his 92-93 Teg tranny after LSD/FD install using only Mobil 1 10w30.

Approved as NORMAL fill for 88-95 trannys. Once Honda made the switch to metal caged bearings their MTF was ok to use. Sadly you can no longer get the original Honda MTF, the latest fluid is pisswater thin.
