Sure. It'll last a few hours. The kit is only 1/3 of the build. You need to also account for fuel and engine management and then top it off with a tune (not to be mistaken with a basemap).

It is apparent you don't realize how complicated this actually is.

 

Stay away from Ebay turbos. The cast manis are ok as are the intercooler and piping. The turbo, wastegate and BOV from Ebay are total junk and they will fail. IMO the best most complete kits are from Go Autoworks.
The turbo kit is only part of what you need as said. You will also need a Walbro 255lph fuel pump and larger injectors as well as a way to tune the car for the turbo. Hondata, Neptune and Crome all work very well. For injectors DSM aka Eclipse Turbo 450cc injector are cheap and work. I recommend a Garrett T3T4 50 trim or a Garrett Super 60 for your D16. 10lbs of boost with one of these turbos will be fine on a stock D series but psi means nothing have a whp goal. Shoot for around 200-230whp, it will take as much boost as the motor needs to get the the whp goal.

 

can some one give me a list of a good cheap turbo kit please because im new to this and am kinda lost the guy who installing it telling me just go with the ebay turbo but i really dont wanna blow my moter i really do want like 5/6 pounds of boost really

Since you don't want to do any research just go with what your guy is telling you. I won't waste my time on people that want it quick and easy. Get the Ebay kit that has the most parts in it that you can afford.

If your asking abotu an ebay kit, justs top now and forever hold your peace sir. there crap for the most part. Some people have good luck but the masses have exploding turbo syndrom. If you want something reliable get a real turbo kit or at least piece it together with good parts. A stock single cam can handle 10 psi of boost out of a multitude of turbos and then there is a whole nother relm of turbos it cant handle that much boost. Its a HP rating they can handle. your looking between 200-225 on stock engine with somethign like a 57 trim it would handle roughly 8-10 psi

The 57 trim actually does pretty well on a single slammer but its a little laggy down low. I wasnt makign any turbo suggestions just stating that particular turbo would reach the Hp capabilities of the stock motor on 8-10 psi from my experience in tuning some singles with this turbo. i personally would go with somethign smaller run a little more boost and have a wider powerband. Gt28rs woul work even a straight t3 super 60 would shave good spool characteristics an obtain the 200-225 and be reliable.

 

ya i know what you are trying to say, BUT, a turbo can be 57 trim in just about any size. so 30mm or maybe pt106 mm bad boy lol

You will need this to run a OBD1 ecu http://www.ebay.com/itm/OBD2B-TO-OBD...vxp=mtr&_uhb=1.
And a tuning system like this one http://www.hondata.com/s100.html or better yet this one http://www.hondata.com/s300.html. If you are on a tight budget you have the ECU chipped and tuned with Crome.
