im new to this site and i just finished swapping a jdm b20 into my eg hatch. right now the car only stays at idle if you give it a little gas. im getting a code 6 and 10 which are the tps and the water temp. i also ran the car for about 10 minutes and it was overheating into the red. this is my daily and i could really use some help thanks. the water pump didnt look like it was leaking and the fan isnt kicking on. the top radiator hose is hot while the bottom one is barely warm.

 

Bleed the coolant system if that doesn't fix it change the thermostat. What are the color wires going to your TPS? Possible you switched around MAP connector?

 

i took the cap of and ran it. i ended up taking out the thermo and replacing it. the old one opened just a little bit while the new one fully opened, so i changed them. the tps and map are plugged correctly. the wires to the tps are black yellow red and i get 3.85 volts roughly with it unplugged but when i plug it back in the volts dont go over .1 at wot when the meter was set at 20v
