Default INFO NEEDED ON JDM DC5 K20A AUTO SWAP IN EJ6

Hey guys, I have a quick question for those with more experience then I do.

My wife has a 1999 Honda Civic EX with a single cam d16y7 auto. It currently has close to 300,000 kms on the motor. I want to swap it to a K20A auto. The jdm shop near by is selling a complete swap for $1500 and it's in my price range. I was looking for a b16a auto but they sell for $3500 which is beyond my understanding of why that is. So.. I looked at the Hasport website and the mounts will come close to $600 bucks, I'm hoping to find them cheaper somewhere.. but if not.. oh well.

This is the description for the motor I will be getting:

-----------------
This Complete engine set includes everything shown in the pictures:
-JDM DC5 K20A Engine
-Automatic Transmission
-ECU+TCU
-Complete uncut harness to the ECU
-Intake Manifold
-Exhaust manifold
-Alternator
-Power steering pump
-AC compressor
-All necessary accessories ETC.

-------------------

So.. my question is this, they say complete uncut harness to the ecu, what do they mean by that. No modification to the initial harness will be necessarily needed? Or will this require a fair bit of work. My friend has a shop with all the tools needed for the swap and so we're hoping to get this done sometime before winter hits.

Any documentation on this will be very helpful, along with any input you may have on the swap. If you have done this before on an automatic, please share the pros and cons you encountered.

Thanks.

-Alex

P.S. I pasted the price of the motor by accident in the subject line, I tried to change it, but it won't let me. So if a moderator can change it to "INFO NEEDED ON JDM DC5 K20A AUTO SWAP IN EK9" I would greatly appreciated.

those hasport mounts are for manual trans only. i have yet to see someone do an auto k20 swap.

which k20 are you thinking of getting? cause none of the good ones came in auto. that price seems way too good to be true. you usually see long blocks going for that much, not entire swaps.

As far as the mounts I'm not sure. Is there no way to modify them?

that's a k24 in the picture. not even the good one either. if they cant get details like that right i wouldnt buy a damn thing from them.

the mounts are very different. you'd be hacking up perfectly good, expensive, hasport mounts trying to make it work.

Thank you for your input. I'll keep looking around. I would be more then happy with a b-series with low km on it, as long as it's in my price range. I'm not looking to break the bank or anything, just want a reliable motor in the car that my wife can drive to work and back. Nothing serious, or anything like 300hp lol.. she would **** her pants I think..

But you know what I mean..

Confused?? Are you doing the swap or is a shop?

if your going to do this project I would not get Hasport mounts. You would need to get mounts custom made, at least for the trans
