Fuel pump only sometimes primes

I Just bought a 93 Civic EX auto. didnt run when I got it... Fuel pump is not turning on.
I put another ECU in it and it worked, but now it sometimes works and somtimes doesnt. Cant be another ecu issue????
There must be a short somewhere?

I guess I should have said: I replaced the main relay already, tried several, even took one out of a friends running driving car. Also took out the fuel pump and tested it.
I swapped out the ecu with a working one, and it ran great. But after a few starts and drives, it started doing it again, But its been intermittent now.

Correct^

Clean and tighten the G101 ground connection the thermostat housing.
