Default B16A - smoking, idling, and sputtering problems

so the car smokes sometimes when i get on it they say its normal but today when i stopped at a stop light it was kinda bad idling at like 1500 for some reason but then after i started going it went fine, cel came on when i got into 3rd gear shifted into it around 7k but when i restarted it light was off. today it wasnt as hot as it normally is, car started up on first turn but idled kinda high till i drove it for a bit. sometimes when it is hot the car will start up n die, if not itll start up and sputter till it gets to idle with smoke coming out seems to be black but at the same time white its hard to tell. ive read it could be the ECU but who knows.

Fixed..

Now that I can read it with punctuation, When was the last time you did a full tune up? Is the fuel pump the original one?

Im sure some simple maintenance will help this issue since theres no CEL's

Since you have an oil leak somewhere, it sounds like you need to spend a little cash and get everything for a complete tune up as it sounds like the engine hasnt had any attention.

I just got the car about a month ago from a dude that used to work for Honda, he says he rebuilt the motor in Jan of '11, I just replaced the plugs and wires the other day, the plugs were pretty bad. Haven't done a Tuneup on it and also I am not sure as to whether the fuel pump is stock but I'm thinking it might be. A friend of mine said he thinks its fuel. something to do with the fuel pump or filter. and no its not throwing any codes and i know the light works or isn't unplugged.

well, Walbro 190's are cheap reliable replacement. If your going to do mods in the future, get the 255.

Theres kits cheap from our vendors in the marketplace. i think 85ish with install kit.

Yeah that is what I thought after I saw it started to smoke, I doubted the rebuild and ive been told its running rich also my Idle control valve might be either messed up or dirty because it started to idle up and down up and down from 1 to 1500...who knows, car runs good well somewhat I guess since it does smoke and whatnot but when it is running, it drives good.

Smoke. Specifically, the color of the smoke.

I wouldn't buy a car with a rebuilt motor unless they show you a bill of sale showing that.

The only time your car will have rough idle without a tune is if you have I/H/E and/or bigger TB & Intake Manifold basically a lot of bolt ons. I know this because my B18CR sometimes died on cold start up and sometimes even die at a stop light because I was running super rich. I have I/H/E with 70mm TB & intake manifold. I also had very bad MPG, I pump like $20 and get almost full tank of gas, but would only last me like 50-60 miles at most before it's empty again, so if I were you I would pay attention to your MPG. If you get bad MPG then you need to tune your motor, if you get normal MPG then it can't be because of a tune.

Do a fuel pressure test.

Yes I had really really bad gas mileage and trouble idling, but it all fixed after a tune, but if your motor is stock and it's doing that then it might be more of a problem than a tune can fix. Something is definately wrong if you aren't getting good MPG.

Found out Oil leak is from Oil Pan gasket, its coming out from down there because the block is all clean and there is oil all over the shift linkage, exhaust and everything else down there.

my fuel pressure gauge is reading between 45-50psi

You better get that oil leak fixed quick, better do it before you need another rebuild, don't want it to knock because once it does, it's gonna keep knocking till someone answers the door bro. If it's all over the bottom of the car like you said it is, I sugget you drain the oil and get a new gasket, also make sure your oil pan has no cracks.
