I just bought the car with a greddy exhaust and a check engine light was on. I bought the OEM/stock exhaust and put everything back and the light was still on. Checked the code and it was due to a faulty A/F ratio sensor. I brought it to a honda cert. mechanic and he replaced the A/F sensor with a newer HONDA sensor. The light was still on. I checked the HONDA TSBs and one of them was about grease leaking onto the 4pin connector of the sensor. The solution was to get a new "SUB-HARNESS" and new A/F sensor. What i'm confused about is how would this solve the problem? Yea it might prevent it from grease leaking onto the connector but how will the check engine light clear? Especially if it was still there with just a brand new A/F sensor. Is there a "SUB-HARNESS" in my car already that is probably shorter and defective because of grease? Or am I just adding more wire to the original harness by adding this "SUB-HARNESS." Has anyone else had this problem? Anything would be helpful, thanks!
