Default How to identify a b-series between a d-series shift linkage

I got a jdm b18b swap in a trade with this guy. After going through the engine I found he gave me the wrong ecu, motor mounts, and the water pump was wrong (bolts didn't line up, idk) So I got all the right parts and I swapped in into my 95 hatch and the shifter seems too short and it fights me going into every gear, but it will go into gear!

I tried doing some research into finding the specs between the two and i didn't come up with anything useful. And info you guys have would be much appreciated.

What engine was in the hatch before you swapped the B18B in?

Did the B18B come with its own shift linkage? If you're trying to use D-series shift linkage, it will not work.

It had the stock d15b7. The linkage I'm using now came with the swap, and I got rid of my old linkage so I can't really compare the 2 side by side.

I can't identify B-series shift linkage by sight but you need to know what kind of linkage you're using. Judging by all the other wrong **** that guy gave you, it could be the wrong shift linkage.

That's what I'm thinking but I want to make sure before I buy a new one. It bolts up fine but it shifts like poop

A D-series linkage wont bolt up at all. The stabilizer bar is different at the transmission end. B-series has a big hole to go around an aluminum boss on the transmission. D-series has a small hole for a bolt to go through.

From the sounds of things you have a '90 - '93 Integra linkage (they're a little bit shorter than '94 - '01)
