z6 into 99 dx hatch. need info on what to expect.
im taking a 95 z6 and putting it into a 99 civic dx 3dr because the motor it came with was swapped to a d15b7
idk why. it still has the y7 intake mani and all thats on it and im assuming the y7 injectors.
as far as the motor what will i run into on swapping it in?? I know the alt needs to be swapped over. crank sensor not used. i need a obd2b to obd 1 conversion harness. what else? IAT?? vtec wiring?
I have a y8 intake mani and TB setup to be used on it.
side note: anyone that has a d15b7 auto ecu(CHEAP) lmk i need it to take this POS motor and stick into the other car to sell.

-IAT converted to OBD1 style or place the OBD2 sensor in the intake arm
-convert IACV from 3 wire to 2 wire
-what exhaust manifold is on there now? What will you be using?
-reuse whatever alternator is on the B7
-Use the Z6 injectors by removing the blue clip in the OBD2 harness
-wire up VTEC solenoid and pressure switch
-OBD2a-OBD1 distributor adapter
-convert IACV from 3 wire to 2 wire

-convert IACV from 3 wire to 2 wire-got this researched
-what exhaust manifold is on there now? What will you be using?-stock y7 but will have a full exhaust system. ebay header and test pipe. yonaka catback
-reuse whatever alternator is on the B7-the y7 one, what i have

The z6 is the only one that'll bolt up right. You can switch internals over from the obd2b one over to the z6s for plug and play. You can wire VTEC to either the OBD1 or 2 side of the ecu harness.

It is illegal but in most states it'll never be an issue. In NC even for cars that have OBD2 unless your ECU won't communicate with the machine you'll pass, considering you also have a cat as well. For pre-95 cars it's just a safety inspection. In SC there pretty much is just a safety. I believe in FL there pretty much isn't any test.
a lot of people don't know. my buddy and I bought a 99 ex from some dude in cali. He bought it with a Z6 in it and found out it was illegal. Posted it for sale, grabbed it $450, and then like $600 to ship.
threw a rebuilt Y8 in it, and sold it for $3900. had about $1600 in it total.
