HELP!!! 95 Civic hood wont close and lock (hitting radiator)
OKay so i bought a new hood for my 95 civic and when i try to close it it seems like its hitting the radiator or something???the hood wont close all the way to lock i was thinking i maybe need a new radiator support or sumthing when i got the car the hood they had on it was beat up in the front like they used a hammer to smash the front part of the hood to get it to fit and lock correctly NEED HELP
make sure the hood release mechanism is down.....is your hood latch cable good? if not push on it to make sure it releases. that or look at the mechanism (where the hood latches) itself and make sure its in the "open" setting and not the "closed" setting.

I had this issue after installing a 2 row rad into my hatch because the pegs on the bottom of the rad. The pegs go into rubber pieces that stick in cup like tabs. Mine didn't fit in there perfectly so it caused me to loose 1/2-1" of clearance on top.
did you buy the right hood? a 2 door hood will fit on a sedan, but its a tiny bit shorter... so a sedan hood on a 2 door could mean its longer which could make it hit the radiator...
I bought the hood from a junkyard i have a 2door civic But on the recipt it says a hood for a civic hatchback are there both the same?
