Does D-series Distributor Ignition Coil and ICM fit inside B-series Dizzy?
My b16a2 OBD2 engine has no spark. The coil has burned out once before. This time, I'm not sure if it's the ignition coil or the ignition control module.
They are expensive because its the US spec b16, but I heard that D-series internals from a distributor are the exact same as b-series, and these are cheap. Is the true?
Can I use D-series obd0/obd1 ignition control module and ignition coil inside my B16A2 obd2 distributor? Really appreciate the help

Damn, maybe I should just go around posting "No" in people's threads more often, give them a reason to do their own research.
OBD0 no
OBD1 and OBD2 D and B-series coils and igniters are all interchangeable though. '90 - '93 Accord igniters also work.
When using a Hitachi igniter in a distrbutor that had an NEC igniter you will need to cut down two small nubs on the igniter bracket.
Also I've seen a lot more Hitachi igniters go bad than NEC.
CYP/CKP/TDC sensors from OBD1 and OBD2 D-series distributors will also swap over.

While I in some small way agree with part of that, I would appreciate it even more if you didn't post answers to questions you don't know the answer to.

I have d16y8 guts in my gsr distributor. the h series also has an nec icm that will swap in.
Don't forget to put thermal compound on the back of the icm. Apparently heat is what kills them. The stuff is like $2-3 at Radioshack...and you only need a tiny dab, and then smear it around until it's super thin on the bracket and the distributor case. If any are dirty or have old grease, clean them with alcohol.

To the other guys: What a bunch of jerks. This is exactly why I got out of the honda world. Too many a-holes just talking crap when a guy asks for some friendly help.. FYI I did the research before hand, I simply wanted to verify if it was accurate.
