For those of you w/o turbo timers...
How long do you sit in your car after like 15/30/45/60 mins worth of regular/easy/hard driving? Does holding the idle @ 1500 have any benefits (Gets oil pressure up so that's it's flowing through the turbo faster cooling down?).
I usually chill for about 15-30 secs then shut her off... I drive her hard though and want to make sure I'm not giving her too little time to cool off...

A lot of people make a big deal about letting the car idle for a while after driving it.
Usually once you get off the highway and you're on regular small town road (usually where you are when you want to get somewhere in the end), the turbo isn't working very hard at all, if anything. If you drive easy/normal for like at least 2 minutes before you park, then you don't really even need to let it idle.
Sure if you are right off the highway after messing around with other cars or after a top speed run, you don't want to shut off the car, but rarely you turn off a car right after you do that....you're always driving slow right before your final destination.
I dunno if any of that made sense....but I hope I made things somewhat clear.

my friend has the HKS one and it has manual mode or auto =times itself off the RPM it sees your motor turn. normal driving it usualy is like 30 seconds.
