no one stocks turbo manifolds!!?!!
Why is it that Ebay and Full Race are the only two places you can buy a turbo manifold without waiting a month?
I don't get how costly it can be to have them welded up besides maybe wastegate flange and turbo flange? There is only so many options you can do.
I should've ordered mine before anything else because I'm stuck without one unless I go cheap or top dollar.

good manifolds are handmade that is why it may take some time. full race is a big companies and probably one of the most well known company. when i ordered my traction bar from them it took about a month to get it in. im glad i have there traction bar, but i also built a relationship with them. i called them about another product i wanted to order and Raffi (works at full race) told, "Dude, I get about a 100 emails daily! So I try and answer all of them and take calls." with that being said, your not the only one ordering an item from whomever you bought from. just wait for quality and not quantity.
sure, I understand the process of quality built stuff. My question is more in why don't they start the process so it doesn't take so long to get out to the customer.
I would doubt that every other company has to cut the pieces out to make a manifold when they get an order. They probably have the flanges and 45 and 90 degree bends and all that **** on hand.

Because many companies now want to keep low inventory due to the initial overhead cost. Few are willing to invest in thousands in materials and labor to "start it off", just on the happen stance that you grace your presence by ordering from them. Most used to make that mistake of stock a whole lot of manifolds, only to see them sit on the shelves for weeks or longer because that month kids didn't get their grocery store bagger checks in time.
the only other person that keeps stock (and only for 1 kind of manifold) is JDL Design.
You want quality... you wait.. plain and simple. this isn't a cheeseburger you get from ordering from a drive-through window..

Again, I understand that it is what it is and there's no way around it. But I dunno man, I run a business and the general rule of thumb is if you can afford to have it in stock then you should. Because your business might go elsewhere and then you have nothing to show for it.
Why not stock semi built kits and advertise everywhere and push like crazy to move them?
Turn a month turnaround into a week and a half..
The thing that helps set you apart sometimes is availability.
I can see a start up company but for a company that's been around awhile, even a year, a couple g's in half welded piping isn't substantial overhead. Especially since the block flange on b,d,f or h series blocks isn't gonna change and people still build them everyday.

RC Autoworks is a good name for D series manifolds and they have the DIY kits in stock, but everytime I ask them I get the answer that it'll be a month or so before they get one welded together.

On top of that, there is really no profit to be made on manifolds compared to what other companies with barely any over head are charging. The majority of our phone calls about manifolds or emails about manifolds, customers are always trying to bicker back and forth to get a cheaper rate, its just not worth it.

On top of that, the profit we make on a manifold, I can turn two brake jobs in a third of the time and make just as much profit. We're no longer focusing on turbo manifolds for imports, more so in house fabrication or domestic work.
If you called me tomorrow, told me you had a situation ( maybe a race to attend ) , I'd scheduled it in to get the manifold done by that day. We've done things like that before, we're racers at heart and understand what it takes to make it to event.
I don't wanna sound like I'm bad mouthing you or your company at all. I know all about how there is only so much time in a day and people wanting deals.
I drive a tool truck so I constantly deal with people trying to haggle for a deal even if the price is already reasonable compared to competitors. I'm more than likely gonna end up buying one from you anyhow, because it's worth the wait.

Give me a call tomorrow, explain who you and we'll discuss everything over the phone. And I know you weren't bashing us, I just like to explain to people the back half of things ect...
A tool truck is a 100 times different then a race shop .. There just no time to we a manifold for some one sometime to maybe buy. There are other things going on in a shop to make money on the wasting time on a manifold. Plus the return on a manifold just isn't that much, maybe for bigger company's but not for a 3 man shop.
