Default Trunk Light, wont work, aside from fuse/bulb, what could it be?

Basically today I went to replace my trunk light with a LED unit because I orderred some misc bulbs in LED to upgrade, but I noticed my map light would not function.

It worked a week ago with the stock bulb when I checked the size, now today it wont with the stock bulb, new stock style bulb, or the LED.

Battery voltage is good, fuses under the dash are all good...

What could it be??

I actually use my trunk light alot!!

Thanks guys

May be an obvious question, but are you getting voltage to the bulb terminals when the switch is on?

No I didnt probe the metal pieces the bulb touches to check for voltage, I was at work when I noticed, but I never thought to do that

I dont get why the guy above linked me to a volkswagon forum, I read the thread, but didnt pick anything up on why mine would all of the sudden stop working
