Default trunk light is not working

Aiight... what can I do to fix my trunk light?
It simply does not work. I checked the voltage at the bulb terminal when the trunk is open and there is none.

Its like the trunk isnt open or there is some other electrical issue. (the bulb is a good bulb, i checked that first.)

I started checking the fuses but whatever i checked was good and then i guess becuse i pulled out fuses my engine check light came on.

umm... a little help anyone?

oh and i got a 2002 civic sedan EX .

ok here is an update. My Trunk open indicator does not work either.

AND.. if I gound the light then it does work, but the light is controlled by the ground so if i close it it will stay on and drain my battery.

So what controlls the light and the trunk open indicator? I dont see any pressure switches... Is it something in the locking mechanism?
Anyone has schematics he can look at for me? or just know the answer??

HELP!! plz
