Hey i have a 2000 honda accord and i just recently installed my new HU the kenwood kdc-x817 and its great. The only problem is that my clock light doesn't turn on anymore and eveything else is normal. can anyone help me out. (oh yeah my dash and everything lights up just my clock light is out) bulb? fuse?

 

Check the 7.5a "backup" fuse under the hood near the battery.

 

if its not the fuse then its the light bulb. just pry out the clock and on the back theres a lil tab for a flat head. take that out and go to radioshack, they have them there

 

hey buddy.. the light in that clock is busted... HOW do i know? i work at a car audio place.. if u pry out the clock the wrong way.. it will crack the light for the clock.. so that is what had happen .. but check it out again.

 

yeh i checked the bulb with a watt detector thing my dad gave me and it showed no life. the fuse was ok tho. so ill probably go to honda or radio shack and get a new bulb.
