fuse is ok checked it and even bought another one but didnt work. i think its the harness because the plug in that goes into the headlights are in bad condition. they look like its blown or something.

Do both bolts of fuse 40 have battery voltage to body ground?

chances are both harnesses dont go bad at exactly the same time......

Reality is, its most likely the fuse since they both went out at the same time. Check what RonJ said....then take a look at the bulbs. It sounds as if you have some bad wiring though since you've already stated you've had problems in the past.

Yes, this^ is relevant. No need to voltage test fuse. Instead, test whether voltage reaches the light switch.

i was just going to ask about the light switch. I remember when last nite i was driving and i hit the high beams switch and boom there goes the lights.

But doesnt that light switch control all lights(head, tail, dash)?

A bad switch can cause the headlights not to work but leave the taillights functional.

Also verify that voltage reaches the switch on both of the white wires in the connector.

spend money on the switch? lol dude go to the junkyard with a phillips and install see what happens. you could simply put it in your pocket since you dont want to pay for it and walk out.

You'll be lost as long as you continue to avoid doing the suggested electrical tests.

Yea i wish it was that easy. Most junkyard dont even let you go in, and they always want an arm and leg for everything.

Well today i took it to a couple of buddies who have ton of experience with the car. Replaced the fuses under dash and it lite up for a second. it was what i first concluded, i have to replace the plug in harness that goes to the headlight. Gonna replace it tomorrow, hopefully it goes good.

well i finally hot the lights working today after all the trouble. the socket harness that goes in to the light was bad and connected the ground in with the positive or negative and blew the light bulbs, both light bulbs.
