Icon2 Clutch slipping above 5500 rpm?

Ok guys, the problem is that when starting of cold, let the car warm up and then driving it under normal acceleration...no problem even if the car is at it's peak temp. what's weird is that when i'm shifting 1st gear to 2nd gear when above 5500rpm it feels like the car stalls (same for the rpms as they stay at 5k-6k rpms) and after 2-3 seconds you can suddenly feel it grabbing 2nd gear and pulling again. This only happens when shifting from 1st gear to 2nd gear. and it becomes worst after 3 or 4 times when shifting like this.

What can be the cause of this?
Because it is really annoying me.

If I read that correctly, it sounds like the clutch is slipping.

Could be, but only when shifting from 1st to 2nd at high rpms.
And it does it even worse when the engine/tranny is hot.
It feels like something isn't 'grabbing' quick enough.
And the part that is actually really weird for me is that it only happens when shifting from 1st to 2nd at high rpms.

I never knew what a slipping clutch was supposed to feel like until I turbocharged my car with the stock clutch on it. The way you describe it sounds the same. It usually happened in first - second.

That is really weird because it's a 'new' clutch actually with only 2000 miles on it. it should not be going out so fast. that is what makes it even worse for me to understand.
Do you guys think that it's the clutch for sure or could it be something else? clutch cable? flywheel? or something else?

It was. I gave it 700 miles to break in. thats more than enough I guess since it only needed 600

It sounds exactly like clutch slippage. That might mean you didn't break it in correctly. That might also mean you over-greased the throwout bearing during installation, wrecking the clutch. It might also mean you didn't have your flywheel resurfaced, which may have wrecked the clutch. You also haven't told us what kind of clutch you installed, if you did it yourself, or if you had it done professionally.

It's clutch slippage, now you just have to figure out why.

Is this car built? What car are we even talking about? You're supposed to list that info in the first post.

Right, sorry about that.
It's a DC1 teg with a stock sohc zc non vtec. It's an exedy stage 1 clutch which was installed correctly.
But I did not resurface the flywheel as I thought that it still looked great.

"Installed correctly" doesn't actually solve anything. You can't just say "I know I did it right!" and have the problems magically disappear. Pull the transmission off, look at the clutch. Even better, take pictures of the contact material on the clutch and flywheel.

Also, this is the 5G/6G Civic section. You uh...don't have either?

I know, I thought that since none of the tegs that reached the US had d series engines and mine does. I'll just throw this in a section where people also talk about these engines.
I did use the wrong words, sorry about that.
If it was the flywheel it should give this problem in any gear right? no matter what rpm
Correct me if i'm wrong please

If it makes you feel any better, when I did my transmission overhaul, I had to take the damn tranny off four times. **** happens.
