ok i know there a probably alot of these but here's my issue i traded my 03 mustang mach (had more problems then any car ive ever owned) well i ended up with 93 ls vtec hatch its sporting a b18c5 head with a freshish b18b bottom end with about 20k on it and my question is should i worry about it i thought about getting a gsr block and building it or can i make safe power on the setup and is it boost friendly? i would like to go turbo dont really care about the ls part or the vtec it was just a nice all around car so any help would be nice and to answer any questions this is not my first honda im just back from the dark side i used to have a 91 turbo b18a crx si and a 93 civic sedan stock then i came across good money and sold both of the cars and got my mustang
never should have done that but o well after 3 years im back and those are my questions any help would be sick.

You need to find out internally what's done, I have a lsv rite now with a built head which is plenty of power for me rite now. As far as boost goes it can be done yes, but reliability of lsv in general isnt all that high unless u know for sure it was properly built, so boosting over 8psi probably won't be in your favor. Just my opinion

Dude not trying to be a dick but u really should do some research for a good couple of weeks, people dont just jump into boost its important to use the search button, my advice would be to actually find out whats done to your engine, do a compression test ( u can buy a cheap autozone compression tester and get the job done). Type r cams are great with a boosted application. And all this non-sense about i would not go over 8 psi blah blah , is very much so irrelevant when no one knows what turbo you will be running. Again not trying to be an *** but its 2012 there is so much information available on this site man its unbelievable. Go read for a few weeks and gain knowledge , then come back and talk shop pimp. my .02

I don't mean to be a dick but we get so many threads like this... Unless we know exactly what kind of motor work is done etc we really can't help you. Plus doing your own research will ultimately help you in the long run because you ultimately learn more than what you initially set out to find
