Whats up Honda fanatics im new to this site and need some info on a y8 swap into a 94 civic coupe what all i need for it to run properly and smogable and if the stock dx ecu will run the y8 untill i pick up the proper ecu or chip the stock one

Depends on where you live for SMOG. It will run the Y8 but not ideal. You'll need to swap over the alternator and injectors from the DX (they are both 240CC). Use the DX alternator. You'll also have to wire up the VTEC wiring and rig something with the intake air temp sensor (put it in the intake arm).

 

i live in ca and i take it to a mex smog place pass or dont pay .. i know it wont run ideal but will it run decent for a couple weeks and be ok when i do swap the ecu??
