I don't know why my SRS light is on. It has been on for like 8 months now.It first came on when i did an oil change. i did every thing right, i don't know how wrong i could go doing an oil change. I was wondering what could trigger that SRS light? anybody else have this problem? thanks

 

1. Was/Has the car been in an accident in the past or recently?
2. Do you have an aftermarket Steering wheel?

 

I just reset the light on mine today. Triggered from a previous owners radio install...somehow

 

The SRS light indicates a problem in the airbag system. You'll find a diagram in the FAQs sticky that tells you how to pull the trouble code.
