CEL isnt turning on. Need help!

Icon6 CEL isnt turning on. Need help!

Hey, i have a 93 civic vx, with a b20 swap. recently my CEL stopped working, as in it wont turn on when my fuel pump primes before starting the car, and it dosent pop up when i hit my set shifting point. does anyone know a reason it could all of a sudden stop working, or maybe some tests i could do to narrow it down? thanks~

The bulb behind the speedo might be burned out i'd start there.

Changed the bulb and it still dosent come on. It came on once about a day after replacing it and worked as far as shift points and fuel pump starting, but once i turned the car off and came back to leave, it didnt work again.

Your ECU chipped to run the CEL as a shift light? Maybe you need to look at your chip and not the CEL. Maybe you need to list your WHOLE Setup.

CEL doesn't turn on lol? Where I'm from that's a good thing! : P lol I'm sure your bulb in the cluster blew out. It's not a common thing for the cel bulb but if you have it as your shift light that means it has more on time so it burnt out quicker.

Maybe one of the solder joints are cracked on the board, that is a possibility.

Check whether the bulb is blown (test = swap with other cluster bulbs). If not blown, clean the metal contact points between the bulb holder and cluster printed circuit board.

I replaced the bulb already and at first didnt work, the next day it did, then stopped again. I dont run my engine to the shift point all the time so it dosent get used that much more than a normal CEL. i have a B20 and im running a chipped Ecu that activates the CEL at designated shift point. 6.5k is where its suppose to turn on. But it also does not turn on when i turn the key to prime the fuel pump. the relay and pump both work cause i can hear both. theres just not CEL turning on. i'll try cleaning it and checking the solder joints though.
