Default GSR Supercharger help

Hey guys, so i have a 2000 GSR stock b18c1 motor and i was looking into superchargers kuz theyre a bit cheaper than turbo kits. (i live in cali btw so they need to be smog legal) yeah i know cant do much with smog legal build buut cant do much about that.

So i came up with two kits, the Vortech and the Jackson Racing. Im not looking into the H.O. kits kuz i read they arent smog legal. But anyway im having trouble finding the kits for sale anywhere. I thought one of them was a centrifugal supercharger kit, but the ones ive seen are like twin screw. any help?

kit number? or something? where to buy? are they CA smog legal?

IIRC, jackson racing joined with skunk2 and is now known as kraftwerks and is now making kits with rotrex chargers. your best bet for a roots type jackson racing blower is trying to find a used one.

as far as smog legal in cali goes is the root type from jackson racing the only one that passes 50 state? and if i find a used one, what are the chances i can get the carb sticker? kuuz to us californians its useless without that sticker.

btw are any of the rotex chargers 50 state legal?

Find the proper documents online to support the product/part # of supercharger you have, and present it to the tech.
75% of the time you will have no prob, expecially if the rest of the car is clean and stock, if its ricer, they are already gonna be on guard.
If you get a complaining tech, simply leave drive down the street to the next guy.
hint..... go to shops that arent busy.

http://hondamarketplace.com/showthread.php?t=3046124

I was looking at these two kits, i dont know much about buying used parts here, can anyone else take a look and maybe let me know if either one of these is a good/bad deal?

I need it to be pretty much the stock parts that came with the kit, so i can put it on my car, and still pass smog in cali.

Where's local? and can you find out if hes got all the parts that i can use? i recently found a couple people to get me around smog, so i guess i wont be needing to go smog legal, but i still want a fair amount of power.

on stock everything except the blower cust made pulley for 10lbs injectors fuelpump and a neptune tune(which i think sux..and will be goin to my boy jeff evans for some hondata and dyno love very soon) 260hp 220tq

the install..i did myself very simple..hardest part was the tensioner and the fact that the blower snout sits but centermeters from the master cylinder

not hard to do..i would tell u..if u can pull the motor and put everything on..it would prob be easier..maybe not faster..but less frustrating..

and u can find a kit at mossmotorsports.com or call em idk the number but there in cali somewhere..they rebuild em for there miata track cars..and they are the exact same as whats for our gsr's..
