Default my first back door intercooler

just modified my first intercooler into a back door intercooler. Iv had my tig for just over a week now. Im pretty happy with how it came out.

I'll be honest... It looks like it will flow like crap, but I guess if the setup HAS to be done backdoor style, then I guess thats what youve got to deal with. Ive never been a fan of backdoor intercoolers though.

Whenever I back door an intercooler I cut off the entire end tank and build a new one from plate aluminum, but that will work too.

I had one made recently. The guy cut off the hose inlet and welded it to the front and welded a half cut pipe and some other nonsense on the backside of it. It looks kinda goofy but it should work out alright. I have my bov on the pipe directly after the inter cooler so a little different still but none the same.

I just wish I had more room for the Coupler to slide over. I'm afraid it'll blow off under boost

looks good man. pretty much same thing my bro-in-law did with his 500whp setup had no issues... nice see DIY guys out there...
