Default Worn Crankshaft question

The front and rear main seals worn into the metal a little on my crankshaft. Are they worn too much or is it still ok? I know the picture makes it look like its deep, but the actual groove is not very deep, however you can feel it.

X2

there is always normal seal wear in these areas, and normally new supple seals have enough spring in them to make up for this difference, although the crank pulley side seems pretty severe, just hope the pictures are exaggerating the groove

Also it might just be the photo also but that keyway looks kinda gnar'd also

The photos exaggerate it a lot. It does catch your nail but it is actually very shallow. I was just wondering if I put a new seal on there if it would seal completely.

I personally would check to see HOW MUCH the groove is using a dial indicator and inspecting runout and seeing wether it is within factory spec.

Most likely but we cant tell with just photos

Take pictures very close up of each flat surface showing just how deep the valleys are, maybe using a backdrop of some sort that helps us determine wether or not to worry about it.

Does anyone know if KWK99315 is the right part number for a replacement sleeve for the rear? I cant seem to get the same answer from anyone.
