My check engine light is on all the time because port one will run lean from time to time and a misfire. But driving down the road about 75 the engine light blinked about 4 or 5 times maybe and then it stay on like usual. I just dont know what that means.

 

So pull the code.

I know why the light comes on im just unsure why it blinked.

 

Blinking generally means severe, motor threatening problem, while solid means "please fix me, I don't like this."

Pull ALL of your codes and fix them.

 

how would i go about fixing port one being lean? and being a misfire????

Post the exact code, blinking check engine light means catalyst damaging events occurring

 

i disconnected the battery to get the light to shut off but once the light comes back on i will get the exact codes and post them. but i know port one is lean and and i dont know the misfire code but i know it misfires.

 

 

and when you DO get the codes, fix ALL of them. "That isn't important, I'll deal with it later" is a stupid way to maintain a car.
