I may be purchasing these wheels and just curious what everyone thinks about them.

How rare are they? Anyone else have a set???

 

It's a love/hate thing for me. Doesn't Volk/Ray's make rim like this (I think they are called choppy's)?

I've loved these style wheels on some cars, but have seen them make some cars look hideous. I really like the one guy that has them on his green 4 door integra (I think I am remembering that car correctly).

 

i think they are absolutely, puke-in-my-mouth, ugly.

can be pulled off on some cars. but for the most part - hideous.

 

I think I just saw those monstrosities IRL at Zerolift the other day. Prob the same set too.

Sound like you want them only because of name and rarity. Whatever. You will be the only person with a set, and there will be good reason.

 

Seen it. On a CRX. Was ok. Not on any other car though.

 

Yeah these are the ones from Zerolift. I personally like them. Not due to the name. I have seen the Rays Shotguns on a RHD CRX and I liked them. These are slightly different but still the same concept.

I am starting a long term CRX build and I think these will look great on them as a finished product.

To each thier own right? I do like that not many people will have them.

Ledsleds, Choppys, Shotguns... there's a few styles of wheel like this.

None of them belong on a modern Honda IMHO.

Aren't there Enkeis that are the same style? Not sure if they are rare are not. I could only picture em on a Beetle but hey do what you want lol

 

Get them, and then rust out your whole car, put on a bike rack, **** hanging from the towhook and tons and tons of stickers in random places. Then, you'll have a cool car.

 

I personally love them. With a nice mildly lowered car, it could be sex.

I like em but dont think it would work for a lot of cars.

 

I've always loved this eg hatch with similar style wheels. It is a wheel style that if difficult to pull off and look good, it takes the proper mods to showcase them. You can't just stick em on and hope they "make" the car. Car should look gangsta already, and these wheels would just be extra bling to set it off. You seem to like em, so get em and make it work. Build for yourself and get what stokes you out!

I've always liked this style wheel because it's different. I've also like them because of the manifold responses listed above. They're controversial. I think they're a slight bit overpriced (here), but it is obviously up to you. Do what will make you smile every time you get to drive your car.
