Everytime I go to change gear...i would hear a weeeeeeeeeeee sound....could it be a leak somewhere? This sound happens in very low rpm....

blow off valve too tight? i have mine set too tight right now and it goes off for everythign... even if i don't go into boost.

 

I dont know...but besides that...i bogged out during boost...not sure what it is...

 

this sounded more like whistling noise than a bov...

 

what kinda bov do you have?

 

I thought it was the looser it is the more sensitive it is to manifold pressure? Oh well...

Back to the sound. Maybe its your turbo spinning down. When I let off the gas it sounds like a 747 coming in for a landing. Open DP!!

 

you think that is it? weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....i hope so. Going to yank out the bov and wastegate and see if everything is ok...with the o-rings and such.

the tial bov makes a kinda whistling weee sound when you let off the gas and the vacuum guage goes below idle vacuum. and so does my friends 1st gen eclipse bov in his civic hatch.

 

I feel much better now..knowing it's normal for the type s bov weeeing around.
. Maybe I can get girls attention.
